QR Code Generator
Turn any text, URL, or number into a scannable QR code, then download it as a PNG. Everything is generated right in your browser.
How to use the QR code generator
- Type or paste the text, URL, phone number, or number you want to encode.
- Choose an error correction level — Medium works for most cases; go higher if the code will be printed small.
- Click "Generate QR Code" to render it instantly.
- Click "Download PNG" to save a high-resolution image you can print or share.
Why use a QR code generator?
QR codes bridge print and digital: a business card, flyer, product label, or restaurant menu can link straight to a website, contact card, or Wi-Fi login without anyone typing a URL. This tool builds the code entirely in your browser using open-source QR encoding, so nothing you enter is sent to a server. Higher error correction levels embed more redundancy, so the code still scans even if part of it is scratched, dirty, or covered by a logo — useful for anything that will be printed and handled. The exported PNG is generated at high resolution so it stays crisp even when printed several inches wide.
What can I encode in a QR code?
Anything text-based: a website URL, plain text, a phone number, an email address, or a number. The QR code automatically sizes itself to fit however much you type.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Low is fine for clean digital use. Medium is a good default. Choose Quartile or High if the code will be printed small, placed on a curved surface, or might get partially scratched or covered, since higher levels can recover more missing data.
Is the QR code generated locally or sent to a server?
Entirely locally. The QR code is drawn in your browser using JavaScript, and the PNG download is created on your own device — nothing you type is ever uploaded anywhere.
